animals die
children die
no water
no food
no hope

the land is on fire
and burns the tounge
dreams are shaped
by ghastly demons
dancing
in the swirling heat
there is no water
there is no food
there is no hope
DO WE?
DON'T WE?

We do not care
          if they die
do we
they are far away
and black
and we do not
          care
if they suffer and die
          do we
and besides
they are so far away
          enemies
          with
enemies of their own
we have troubles
          right here
and we have to
think of ourselves
before we can
          learn
to care if they die
don't we
